The Western Michigan cross country team finished in 16th place out of 35 teams of the unseeded women's 6k race without the efforts of sophomore Maria McDaniel, who ran in the seeded race earlier in the day. The race was at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, the same course that the NCAA Championships is on.
