Roosevelt CA junior Michael Sahagun won the Big VIII League title, extending the individual streak of Mustangs' champions to eight consecutive years, covering the 3-mile course at Eastvale Community Park in 14:48.4 to help Roosevelt hold off Martin Luther King by a 38-41 margin for its eighth straight team title. Sahagun improved from seventh place in 15:54.7 at last year's finals.
