Tyler Spencer, Raymon Ornelas, Tony Chavez, Michael Sahagun, Moises Rendon, Matthew Lieberman and Aaron Lieberman led Roosevelt to a program-best second-place finish in the Division 1 boys final at the CIF State Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Spencer was third and Ornelas placed seventh for the Mustangs, who had all five scorers in the top 45 to finish runner-up to Great Oak by a 75-90 margin and secure the second automatic berth to Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore.
